Hamilton Welcomes the World!

We are so excited that you will be joining us for our International Student welcome this Saturday, September 9th!

We wanted to let you know that it’s still not too late to share this link with friends, and to share with you some more details about the day to better prepare you! 

We welcome one and all, and want to hear how we can make your time here amazing!

Our events will be taking place at the same time as Hamilton’s award winning Supercrawl festival! Make sure to check out the festival page to plan your day - there will be music, art and fashion, along with vendor booths throughout the streets of downtown! Note: keep checking the Supercrawl page for an updated festival map, which will include more details on food vendors, washrooms, and other services during the day.

Kick Off at City Hall

11:00am - 12:00 pm

• Meet in front of the Hamilton sign, outside of City Hall: 71 Main Street West, Hamilton.
• We will have an official city welcome and then will leave from here to go on a city tour of some downtown hot spots for international students, and to make some new friends!

ISCC Festival Booth

12:00pm - 7:00pm

• - Located near York Blvd, close to MacNab (map pin here). Look for the ISCC sign!
• - Drop by our booth to participate in activities for a chance to win prizes (tours will also leave from this booth as well).
• Prizes include entering to win a Macbook Air, Ikea school starter kits, and Walmart gift cards to start your semester off right!

Getting here:

• Check out the official Supercrawl page for information on how to get downtown
• Many students taking public transportation can take a bus to the MacNab terminal

Students living in on-campus residence at McMaster University and the surrounding campus area are welcome to meet International Student Experience volunteers at the Sterling at University Bus Stop (in front of McMaster Museum of Art) at 10:15AM EST to travel down to City Hall together. Students located in the Downtown Area are welcome to meet our greeters at City Hall at 11:00AM EST.

What to pack:

• Make sure to wear comfortable shoes for walking, pack some snacks/lunch and water, and a water bottle.
